Ingredients
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
2 tbsp matcha powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar packed
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup powdered sugar for rolling

Directions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180C (350F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt.
- 3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- 4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- 5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just incorporated.
- 6. Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- 7. Scoop the dough into 1 inch balls and roll each ball generously in powdered sugar to coat.
- 8. Place the coated dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- 9. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the cookies are set and the tops are crinkled.
- 10. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

- For a gluten free version, substitute the all purpose flour with a gluten free baking blend. Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days to maintain freshness.
