Directions

  • 1. Cut the chicken breast into 1 inch pieces and season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  • 2. Set up two shallow dishes: one with all purpose flour and another with beaten eggs.
  • 3. Dip each chicken piece first into the flour, then into the eggs, ensuring they are fully coated.
  • 4. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan or skillet to 180C (350F).
  • 5. Fry the chicken pieces in batches for 4 to 5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  • 6. While the chicken fries, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and rice vinegar in a large bowl to make the bang bang sauce.
  • 7. Remove the fried chicken from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  • 8. Add the fried chicken to the bowl with the sauce and toss gently to coat evenly.
  • 9. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter option, substitute mayonnaise with Greek yogurt or a dairy-free alternative. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat in a preheated oven at 180C (350F) for 10 minutes to restore crispiness. Serve these chicken bites with steamed jasmine rice, a fresh salad, or as a party appetizer with extra bang bang sauce for dipping.
