Directions

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 180C (350F) and lightly grease a 1.5 quart baking dish.
  • 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, stirring until smooth and well blended.
  • 3. Fold in the shredded chicken, half of the shredded cheddar cheese, and half of the crumbled bacon, mixing until evenly distributed.
  • 4. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer.
  • 5. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese and bacon evenly over the top.
  • 6. Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes, until the dip is hot, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.
  • 7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before garnishing with chopped green onions.
  • 8. Serve warm with crackers, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetable sticks for dipping.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can substitute Greek yogurt for the cream cheese and use turkey bacon instead of regular bacon. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, and reheat in the oven at 160C (320F) for 10 minutes to maintain the creamy texture. This dip pairs wonderfully with a crisp white wine or a refreshing salad, making it ideal for parties or casual get-togethers.
